Cluttered life, Cluttered heart

This photo is NOT my closet!

In the Lazarus experiment we are considering what would be important if we were to have new life like Lazarus.  I’m thinking I would wonder why I spent so much time moving a bunch of clothes from one season’s rack to another, hoping that next year it would fit, or would be in style again.

Bah, Humbug!  Oh, wait – wrong time of year.  That’s my next Laz goal. We have an annual rummage sale coming up to raise funds for a building addition, and I think it is time for me to let go of some of my stuff.

In Luke 12:22-23 Jesus said to His disciples, “For this reason I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, as to what you shall eat; nor for your body, as to what you shall put on. For life is more than food, and the body than clothing.”  I’m appreciating every hour lately, and think I’ve wasted too many precious hours with clothing.

I think it would be refreshing  to go into that room (yes, I confess when my son left home I turned his small bedroom into a sewing room/closet) and quickly spot something appropriate instead of being frustrated, and going on with life. I know my hubby would sure appreciate it.

Yes, that sounds like a plan. Stage one tomorrow.
