Just in time

Have you ever had something happen just in time?  Yesterday the furnace stopped.  Ken has suspected something for a month, and changed the filter and then the furnace would not go back on. The repairman said it was a motor which of course was expensive.  The part could be rushed in to arrive today.

We both could hardly believe how spoiled we are with a well-heated home.  The Youth for Christ banquet last night gave us a warm place to eat dinner and today I kept the microwave busy with various size rice bags to wrap around our necks, or to warm up seating areas, and heating tea and soup.   I went out to do an errand and the lady said she realized it was chilly and windy today but a winter coat and headband?  She laughed when I told her I hadn’t had to put the coat on – I was wearing it in the house before I left!

Last night we discussed that we’d have to pay for the repair when done of course, and didn’t want to break our no new debt rule… Prayed about it and decided to figure it out today.

In today’s mail – a check that covered the furnace repair.  It was actually a reimbursement we thought we would get  2 years ago.

Not so late – Just in time.

Heb. 4:16 Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need.
