Wow! Stevia like it should be! NuNaturals for me.

Before today, I did not like stevia.

Or, I should say, before trying NuNaturals stevia today, I thought all stevia was the same.  Bitter.

Not true.  Not true.  Oh, my the difference.

As part of the CWA Review Crew, I had an opportunity to test run NuNaturals stevia, but I was skeptical.  I’ve tried numerous brands in the past and all left a bitter taste, no matter the amount used, the food content or process.  I checked out NuNaturals website and saw something that intrigued me.  Only pure natural essential oils add the flavor to NuNaturals stevia.

I ran to my cupboard and pulled out the various bottles and brands of flavored stevia I’d tried once and then left on the shelf mourning the wasted money.  I want good health, but I want food that tastes good too. Sure enough those products did not use essential oils, some had the descriptor ‘natural flavorings’ which we know has quite the gamut of interpretation, and others had alcohol and other chemicals.

That did it.  I decided to try NuNaturals.

When the package arrived, I  got more than expected – Clear Stevia, Orange, Lemon, Mint and a pre-biotic powdered Stevia that browns like sugar.  I’ll try that next.  Below are first two tests:

7 drops of lemon     flavored NuNaturals Stevia meant a WONDERFUL fresh lemon flavor

NO bitter taste

No other sweetener needed

Perfection!

Raw Food: Raw Chocolate Orange Crunch Balls from www.findingclairity.com

Simple ingredients, about 10 minutes from mix to chill and another 10 to YUM!  I used crushed cocoa nibs for chocolate coating and hemp hearts (shelled hemp seeds) for the white ones.  This recipe also from Clair at www.findingclarity.com.  Makes 10-12 truffle like balls.

A wonderful, decadent treat.

Check out the easy recipe at Claires …and note the variations like the Almond Joy truffles….

Mmmmm – I’m lovin this experiment!
